Service, teaching, and creativity are at the heart of Mary’s work and play. She has called many places home, including rural Paraguay, where she served as a beekeeper with the Peace Corps. Mary founded Circle of Writers, her heart's work, which offers courses for teens and adults with a focus on memoir. She believes that the writing process helps us to step into who we truly are and in turn, be of more service to others. Mary is a certified teacher and holds a B.A in Writing & Rhetoric from Hobart & William Smith Colleges, and an M.A in Therapeutic Writing and Creative Non-Fiction from Empire State College.
