Chaya Babu is a Brooklyn-based writer, journalist, organizer, and educator, bringing the craft of writing into classrooms through CWP. Her work has appeared in BuzzFeed, The Margins, The Feminist Wire, The Wall Street Journal, and more. Chaya was a 2016 BuzzFeed Emerging Writers Fellow and a 2015 Open City Fellow at the Asian American Writers' Workshop. She is currently pushing her MFA in creative writing at Pratt Institute, and she has an MS in journalism from Northwestern University and a BA from Duke.
