TEACHING ARTISTS

Alexandra says that her experiences as a teacher — which build on 27 years of commercial photography work — have been among the most meaningful and rewarding of her professional life. Watching children find their artistic voice and greater self-assurance in photography and art classes has been truly inspiring for her. Alexandra now works as a teaching artist in the New York City public schools, leading classes on media arts and visual arts for pre-K to high school students https://neuberteaching.myportfolio.com. In the past few years she has taught art to children aged five to 15 in Quito, Ecuador, and local children in Samara, Costa Rica, and to kindergarten through fourth grade students in after-school programs at Castle Bridge Elementary School (P.S. 513) in Manhattan and Hillside Elementary School in Hastings-on- Hudson, New York. In November 2016 Alexandra ran a children’s art workshop at the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. Her experience as a photographer includes shooting fine arts, architecture, fashion and still life, as well as concerts, corporate meetings, political fundraisers, parades and celebrity parties https://neuberphoto.myportfolio.com. Alexandra’s work has appeared in major magazines and over the years she has had many individual and group exhibitions. https://alexandraneuber.myportfolio.com/photography
