Poems Give Voice Creation Drawing IS 75 Weather Balloon Staten Island Visual Arts Poetry Middle School Teaching Artist CWPNYC
IS 75 in Staten Island has been hard at work integrating poetry and visual arts into their science classes! Teaching artists Melissa Shaw and Ron Chironna, dug into creating perspective drawings with the students after discussions on Weather Balloons.
Students were instructed to create their view from the weather balloons. Everyone took the work very seriously and created very unique pieces!
Ron and Melissa feel pretty proud of the work everyone did, and even more so that the artwork was immediately put up on the walls, representing CWP at I.S. 75! We can't wait to see what else the students produce this year!
